What is WeatherBeats?
WeatherBeats generates playlists based on the current weather in your area.
What does ‘Generate Playlist’ do?
‘Generate Playlist’ will check your current location as well as the weather of that location and provide you with weather-appropriate playlists to enjoy.
‘Generate Playlist’ isn't working?
It may be that the location setting on your browser has been turned off. To reset this setting in Chrome, follow these steps: 1) Go to the Settings page. 2) Scroll down to Privacy and Security. 3) Go to Site Settings. 4) Scroll down to the Permissions section and click on Location. 5) Click on the https://weatherbeats.netlify.app link. 6) Set the Location to Allow. To reset this setting in Firefox, follow these steps: 1) Click on the lock icon to the left of the URL bar. 2) Scroll down the Permissions and under Permissions, click the ‘X’ next to ‘Blocked Temporarily’.
What if I don’t want to give you my current location?
Living off the grid? Just pop in a zip code of your choosing instead! (Country is optional.)
I told the browser to block access to my location, but now I want to allow access.

My weather has changed!
No problem! If the weather has changed since you first began listening to a playlist, simply click ‘Check Weather Again’ to allow us to update your playlist to the latest weather.
I don’t like this playlist.
We understand your taste in music is unique, so we created some options for you. One option is to click ‘Next Playlist’ to grab another playlist for the same weather. Another option is to use our genre filter to find playlists that match the genre of your choosing.
What if I want to listen to ‘sunny weather’ music on a gloomy day?
We got you covered! Select your own weather in the Weather drop down to generate a playlist based on your desired type of weather.
The ‘Next Playlist button is not showing up.
This could mean one of two things. If you navigated away from the page and came back, we ask that you Check Weather Again to get the freshest weather results for your area. Or this could simply mean that the selected weather and/or genre is very specific and there are currently very few playlists on Spotify.
